Since 1984, TelWare has helped thousands of customers make the right decisions with technology but that’s not all that we do! We believe it’s important to give back to the community that supports us and this holiday season we are doing just that!

During the month of November, we will be collecting donations of non-perishable food items for the Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina and Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry. Then on November 24^th, we will be participating in the 19^th Annual WFNZ Street Turkeys Food Drive at the WFNZ Dog House on the corner of Mint and Morehead!

What is Street Turkeys, you ask?

Well, it is an annual drive-thru style donation event collecting food to help feed families in the Charlotte area this holiday season. This is the 19^th year the event has taken place and in 2020 they collected more than 11,000 lbs of food, 360 turkeys and $22,500 in financial donations! TelWare is a corporate sponsor of the event and is sending 10 staff members to volunteer the day of the event.

How can you help?

There are several ways you can participate and help Charlotte-area families in need.

1. TelWare will be collecting non-perishable food donations at our corporate office between Nov. 8 – 23 that we will deliver to the Street Turkeys event on November 24^th. We have set a goal of 500 lbs. of food and you can help us to reach that goal! If you have an upcoming installation or service call scheduled feel free to send a donation back with your technician or you can drop off a bag (or two) of food at:

2. You can send financial donations directly to Loaves & Fishes by texting STREETTURKEYS to 44321.
3. Bring a Turkey (or two as well as other donations) to the Street Turkeys event on November 24^th! All you need to do is drive thru the parking lot at the WFNZ Dog House and TelWare employees will be there to help unload your car!

Additional Information:

Although all non-perishable food items are accepted, Loaves & Fishes does have a list of priority needs for this event: canned meats, canned fruits, pasta, cereal, canned vegetables, muffin mix, and stuffing mix.

Turkey donations are especially important this year as supply chain shortages are limiting the number of turkeys that can be purchased by individuals and organizations! Bring your turkeys directly to the WFNZ Street Turkeys Food Drive:
