Description

The Outside Sales Representative will sell products and services offered by the company to current and new clientele.

  • Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Develops and maintains relationships with potential and existing clients.
    • Builds and maintains a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads.
    • Identifies and locates new clients through a variety of methods including networking and cold calls.
    • Communicates with customers and leads to identify and understand their product or service needs; applies knowledge of the field and product features to identify and suggest products and services to meet those needs; demonstrates the functions and utility of products and services to customers based on their needs.
    • Provides information, quotes, down payment terms, and other bid specifications to clients.
    • Negotiates prices, terms of sales, and/or service agreements; prepare contracts and submits orders.
    • Collaborates with purchasing departments, managers, and other staff to confirm that orders are processed with accuracy and efficiency and that products are distributed properly.
    • Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise post-sale.
    • Maintains communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products, services, and enhancements that may be of interest.
    • Maintains detailed reports of sales activities including opportunities, calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems; enters activity in CRM and other business software
    • Periodically prepares and reports results, the status of accounts, and leads to manager.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Must be willing to undergo background and reference checks.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, or related field OR equivalent experience.
  • At least three years of relevant experience required, preferably in telecom, technology, managed services, VoIP, or related field.

Physical Requirements: 

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Travel to meet with clients or potential clients will be required.
